Acceptance Use Policy

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs how customers may use the services provided by North Point Hosting. All users must comply with this policy while using our infrastructure, servers, networks, and related services.

Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of services without notice.

2. Illegal Activities

Customers may not use our services to engage in illegal activity including but not limited to:

  • Distribution of illegal content

  • Fraud, identity theft, or scams

  • Unauthorized access to computer systems

  • Distribution of pirated software or copyrighted material

  • Hosting content that violates applicable laws

3. Network Abuse

Users may not interfere with the normal operation of our network or other customers.

Prohibited activities include:

  • Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks

  • Port scanning or vulnerability scanning without permission

  • Attempting to bypass system security

  • Running botnets or command-and-control servers

4. Spam and Email Abuse

North Point Hosting maintains a zero tolerance policy for spam.

Customers may not:

  • Send unsolicited bulk email

  • Operate spam marketing services

  • Use purchased or harvested email lists

  • Run open mail relays

Violations may result in immediate account suspension.

5. Malware and Harmful Software

Hosting or distributing malicious software is prohibited, including:

  • Viruses

  • Trojans

  • Ransomware

  • Spyware

  • Cryptomining malware

Security testing tools are allowed only when used legally and responsibly.

6. Resource Abuse

Customers must not excessively consume system resources in ways that negatively affect other users.

Examples include:

  • CPU abuse

  • Excessive memory usage

  • Large-scale automated processes

  • Network flooding

We reserve the right to limit or suspend services to protect platform stability.

7. Enforcement

North Point Hosting may take the following actions if violations occur:

  • Issue warnings

  • Suspend services

  • Terminate accounts

  • Report activity to authorities
